PAS has installed the Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS), navigational buoys and maintenance of vessel channels to safeguard and improve vessel management.

Weather Conditions:
SW Monsoon: Blowing from June to October, and NE Monsoon : Blowing from November to February.
In an average, the water level is 1.20m between low tide and high tide.

- Old jetty: - 8.50m
- New quay: - 8.50m
- Container terminal: - 8.50m
- Oil terminal: - 9.20m (Sokimex)
- Oil terminal: -11.00m and -11.50m waiting high tide (Tela)
- Concrete wharf: - 4.20m (Oil port)
Anchorage Areas:
A - Southern anchorage area: 10º36, 0N 103º28,5E
B - Northern anchorage area: 10º39, 5N 103º29,0E
C - Anchorage area for tanker vessels: 10º39, 5N103º25, 7E
Remark:
Terminal capacity for tanker ships is as follows:
- DWT below 28,000 tons
- LOA less than 180m
3 - Shipping Lines who have contracted with PAS
There are 10 shipping lines contracting with PAS to operate the terminal on regular basis for loading and unloading containers, those companies are : MAERSK, RCL, SITC, SAMUDERA, EML,CMA, COSCO, KMD/HAS/TSL, HYUNDAI & NAMYUEN YONG.
