Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS): On Thursday, 12th September 2024, At PAS, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, highly presided the Inauguration Ceremony of Official Use of the Additional 253-Meters Container Terminal, with the presence of His Excellency UENO Atsushi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia ្, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Senior Minister, His Excellency Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport, Excellencies Ministers, Excellencies Secretaries of State and Under Secretaries of State, His Excellency Mang Sineth, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, His Excellency Lou Kim Chhun, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia in charge as Chairman and CEO of Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, , the Relevant Ministerial Management, Relevant Authorities, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Authority, PAS Board of Directors, JICA Chief Representatives, Excellencies, Oknha, Managements, Government Officials, Employees, and Workers. The value of benefit from this Additional 253-Meters Container Terminal Project is to increase a capacity of 450,000 TEUs/Year and accumulates the total port capacity with 1,000,000 TEUs/Year, allowing a container vessel with draft of -10.40 meters for docking (vessel docking at the port increases from 18% to 38% for the world wide-container ships. whereas container ships in the Asia-Pacific route increases up to 49.25%)
